Im a student in the Uk at the moment and im wondering if there are any sites that advertise jobs in japan. I know there is a service available at my uni but that is closed for the summer and Im intrested in looking into short term jobs or work experiance in japan, hopefully percifically for students.

Most work in Japan for foreigners is teaching English, either in a school under contract (which falls into 2 categories, a private eikaiwa company or working at an actual high school) or teaching students privately one on one or in small groups. Outside of that the work tends to be more specialised and not long term, you might be lucky and find something like working in a restaurant, etc, but you have to think - what kind of work can you do with the skills you have, and would someone be willing to hire you short-term with no knowing how long you would stay?

Cheers for that - I suppose working as a short term english teacher would be pretty ok - as id proberly only be staying for say a 4 - 6 weeks. I'll have to look further into it - any ideas how I could do this online?

Try O-Hayo Sensei.

It's a pretty big listing of English teaching jobs, most of which require you to be in Japan (aka, they won't help you get a Visa). I haven't looked too closely to see if most require longer contracts or not.

Ganbatte!
