My wife who pays national insurance has recently checked into a hospital. A little bit earlier than normal in order to monitor the baby's growth. Anyway, she seems to think that the insurance doesn't cover checking into the hospital. I thought that that would be ridiculous but who knows. Err, who knows?
I know that she will get some money back (300,000 yen) after the baby is born but because she is in there early that will not be nearly enough. Today she was moved into a new room as well which might cost 40,000/day. That seems crazy I know.
Anyway, does anyone know where I can find out whether this will be covered by insurance. I know it only covers 70% but that would make a huge difference.
Thanks.
I found this but it has no details:
