Hello Mina-San,

in 2015 we have been in Tokyo shooting an education movie for high schools.
The movie will be finished most likely this month. It gonna be for the subjects of english and geography.
About 2 minutes of japanese dialogues still need to be translated. We know roughly about what was being said, but would love to have a more accurate translation.

The video clip can be downloaded here: WeTransfer

Hopefully someone has the time and mood to look into it ;)
Thanks guys!

Please tell us your "rough" translation first. Then we can help you.

Hi there!

Well we don't have a "translation" unfortunately.. that's why I am here ;)

We only know about the topics they spoke of and some questions of the interview.
"How was it for you to adapt do japanese language and culture?"
"What are you doing in your free time?"
Lary answered: I am playing in a big band playing saxophone and guitar.(not 100% sure about that)

We need a correct translation to make proper subtitles for those parts of the movie.
It doesn't have to be 100% accurate by every single word, but the information of the sentences should be delivered.

Considering you're not asking for a word-for-word translation it's not so bad.

0:00 Now we're going to give you a Tokyo tour...
0:10 Now we're in the middle of Tokyo at Meiji Jingu Shrine. In the woods behind us there are over 120,000 trees and 300 types of plants. These trees were sent here from all over Japan.
0:27 Meiji Jingu is beloved by tourists and Japanese alike. People come here for weddings, new years blessings or just to relax. For New Years "hatsumode" over 5 million people visit here.

> Larry how did you learn Japanese, especially the kanji characters?
I started a long time ago by listening and conversation and learned reading and writing later.
It was tough and I'm still not very good at writing but by using a PC it's not too bad.
> Just by talking, you could become so conversational?
Japanese pronunciation is not so difficult and it's not so hard to listen and repeat.
It's just reading and writing that's tough because of all the characters. How many standard kanji are there again?
> I guess about 3000...
Yes, I can't recall that many.

> Larry, what do you like about Japan compared to America?
For my every day life, I don't commute to the university by train but by car. It takes about 20 minutes.
> Yeah that's unusual in Tokyo.
Something I really like is onsen (hot springs). I like to go every week.
> Every week??
I live near Mt. Takao so it's convenient and I can go whenever I want.
> Oh I see. That's why you can go every week.
Yes. Onsens are great.

> What do you like to do in your free time?
I like music.
> What kind?
Jazz. I play guitar, sax and vocals too in big band style.
