Shadow Tactics: Blades Of The Shogun is a stealth-type strategy game developed by a German company. While mimicking the Commandos and Desperados series, Shadow Tactics is set in medieval Japan and offers its players an awesome story with a great plot twist near the end.

You have 5 characters (a ninja, a samurai, a teenage thief girl, a geisha assassin and a wise old man) that help the shogun fight against a mysterious warlord named Kage-sama. The missions include objectives such as: taking out enemy guards, samurais etc., doing certain tasks, taking hostages, and much more.

The game is available for Windows, Mac, Xbox and PS4.

Hmm, those characters look like Chinese or Arabian to my Japanese eyes...

Have you tried the game
Yes, I've played it. It's pretty cool. It's a strategy game. I don't know if you've ever played the famous series called Commandos, but it's similar to that. You sneak around and use various means of distractions to take your enemies by surprise and kill them. Each mission has several objectives, such as stealing some important documents, protecting the Shogun's son etc.

If you have a PC, you can purchase it from Steam (I don't know if Steam is available in Japan). If you have an Xbox or a PS, I'm guessing you can find it in the Microsoft and Sony online game stores.

Here is another trailer they have for the game:
