I don't know if anyone really cares or not but last Friday I was coming home from school and while waiting to cross the busy road near where I live a nice black and yellow motercyle with the driver also in black and yellow went by infront of me and it did a wheelie right there on that busy road.

I thought it was pretty cool because I've never actually seen anyone do that in real life, only in movies. I know it must be pretty dangerous to do that, especially on a busy road like that. I guess the driver just wanted to show off!

And what I mean by wheelie was the driver made the motercyle go up on just it's hind wheel for a few seconds while driving.

Out of curiousity, has anyone else ever witnessed someone do this in real life and on a busy road?

It was super cool though. O_O; At least I thought so....but I'd never do it. lol!

Anyway, maybe this kind of thing happens a lot, I don't know...but I had never seen it before and felt like posting about it.

It actually reminded me a bit of Uma Thurman in Kill Bill. Just because the motercyle was black and yellow and all....was just a coincidence! I hadn't yet seen the movie though at the time.

I don't think it's uncommon but you need a fairly powerful bike to be able to do wheelies when you're already moving. So it's not something everybody could do even if they wanted to. I don't think I've seen random people do this but I've seen my friends do it (generally not on a busy road, tho).

i've seen people do that a couple times when i lived in california. i did it once though it was across a busy road and on a dirt-bike not a street bike. i tried to stop but the bike skid into the road anyway from the dirt. so i just hit the gas to avoid the oncoming traffic, and up i went.

yeah I've seen it in LA.. The last time it happend a cop was not far behind, and if I'm correct there is a pretty hefty fine involed.

Yeah, I believe if the police catch you doing that you get a fine because it's dangerous. Especially if he did it on a busy road.

I live in Toronto which is a pretty big city. The biggest in Canada at least!

Anyway, my dad use to have a motercyle when he was young and he use to do wheelies but not on busy roads. He did them though when he was racing people sometimes. o_O
