reading and e-mailing japansese ?

Hi everyone,

I have windows 98 and use Hotmail to e-mail my gf ... I remember in internet cafes abroad she could write Katakana or Hirigana because of a neat little program - does anyone recommend what program I can use to write japanese script into hotmail??

I use NJStar... but I'm sure there is better... anyways, free demo of the word processor at Chinese, Japanese & Korean Language Software by NJStar 南极星

I use the Japanese IME program provided by Microsoft.
You can download it here: http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com
I'd also recommend update some critic programs if you haven't done it yet.

yeah, if you can't find the right app on the update, then do a hunt for a program called Jamondo, which is an IME generator program that came out before the update stuff became standard....sometimes, though, you'll get mojibake (corrupted characters) on hotmail...so you'll just have to experiment....
