Has anyone ever seen the movie Ran?I have it's a great Japanese drama series during the Sengoku Era it's about a Lord named Hidetora Ichimonji who is growing old so he gives all powers to his eldest son Taro,but he Hidetora would keep his title as Great Lord, and had the other two sons Jiro and Saburo,and have them support their eldest brother and gave them control of the 3 castles he conquered.At first all had agreed but then Saburo told him it was stupid and he was senile so his dad got angry at him and banished him.When his sons Jiro and Taro betrayed him and try to kill him he went mad.That's all I'm going to say.It's a really good movie you guy's should watch it if you like samurai movie's just like I do.

 

[Iron Chef]

I liked it. Not Kurosawa's best work imho (although many would disagree) but a great film nonetheless. The visual style of the film is very memorable and I especially loved his use of contrasting colors on the battlefield.

My favorite scene is the fall of the castle set to classical music, lots of chaos, tragedy all accompanied by that mournful music.
