I recently started to learn 敬語, which I have a question about.
In the textbook practise I use, I had to make sentences such as 「本を読んでいますか。」 to 敬語.
I thought the answer would be 「本をお読みになっていますか。」 but suprisingly it was 「本を読んでいらっしゃいますか。」!
Could I have used 「本をお読みになっていますか。」 too, or would it have been incorrect?
Is there some kind of difference between お+になっている and ~ていらっしゃいます?
I'm waiting for your answer m(_ _)m
