Hi! I received a parcel from a friend in Japan today, and I'm writing to her to let her know I received it.

1) How would you say "thoughtfully/ carefully put together"? 大事に作られた(プレセント)? 親切に?

2) Would the correct word for parcel/ package (what you receive in the mail) be "小包"?

Which "put together" do you mean?

1. Packaged/wrapped as a unit
2. Several items collected together
3. One item assembled from parts

Yes to 小包

Items assembled together in a parcel.

She sent me a package with various items in it she thought I'd like (sweets, pictures, gifts) and I want to say it was thoughtfully put together.

would be one way, I suppose. You may wish to wait a bit and let one of of our valued native speakers or Susu give you something better.

No, that's great. We're helping each other with languages and we talk fairly informally, so that's more than enough.

Thanks for the help!

Oh, I'm very happy to help. Still, here lately I don't have full confidence in my posts until Susu comes along and gives his endorsement of them.
