I was snowboarding in Shiga Kogen, and I met that piece of culinary art here.

There is small restaurant in Ichinose village, which cook pizza, and there are several varities of that genuine european food.

Ingredients:

1 small pizza crust
2 large cooked potatos with skins
6 small black olives
6 tiny ham slices
cheese
dried parsley

Mash one cooked potato and spread it over crust. Slice another potato into medium chunks and evenly distribute over mashed potato. Decorate pizza with olives and ham. Sprinke cheese and dried parsley over. Cook it.

That was the only neutral type of pizza here. All other pizzas were quite weird, so famous anchovies pizza from Nunja-turtles movie sounds very innocent in comparision with those.

BTW, I did try to stay on normal western style food here at the beginning, but, I gived up after some waitress asked me if I want cole-slaw dressed with beef gravy. I found that japanese cooks understands western cousine in very special way.

Reminds me .....

I once ordered spaghetti at a small Japanese resturant in Fukuoka. They took some precooked noodles from a bag and put in in a frypan. Then they dumped a LOT of ketchup on it for sauce.
