Nominate: The Worst anime ever

Beyblade is the worst anime i have ever seen- saw half an episode of it once and by the end of it i had a great sensation of misery- teribly drawn, mind numbing "story", characters and voices etc; i know its for kids, but pokemon is a thousand times better than this :( .

They only reasons why Dragonball is getting so much hate is because of the long arcs and storyline. But, at the time there wasn't really any animes like Dragonball. You may have not liked Dragonball, but it influenced a lot of animes we have today in ways you could never see. Dragonball influenced anime a lot, give it soem credit because I know some of you watched it endless, like me.

The worst anime, has to be Pokemon. Because it has a crapload of fillers, there may be 100 episodes in one arc, but there is probably 85 fillers. Though the Pokemon manga, is really good. The manga is much more violent and adult-like, but it still has a child feel to it.

I also through in Violent Jack for worst anime, it was about a giant that went on rampages and killed, raped, massacred people. I can stand violence but there was barely any plot, the animation wasn't that great and the fell of the anime, made me feel like this would suck.

Pokemon
Digimon
Bayblade
Dragon Ball (all of them)

I think that all of thiese lost their "Manga" tiltle...
They are the worst Anime and i don't think that they are Anime at all!

Ayashi no Ceres...
ive heard the manga is good.. the anime is about crying.. they cry about EVERYTHING..
"oh noes! my puppy ran away" WAAAAAIL
"oh noes, we're out of carrots" WAAAAAAAAAAIL
"oh noes, i've found you again" WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIL

The worst anime is "Platonic Chain", no doubt.
The animation is horrid, everyone moves like a puppet.
The cel-shading is below par, everyone look flat and boring.
platonic_chain_b-1.jpg

The story is non-existant and without any kind of direction.
The characters are bland and not even the least interesting.

If there's one anime you're lucky you haven't seen, it's Platonic Chain. :)

What does everyone have against pokemon? Jessie and James were the best villans ever. I even cried in a few of the episodes, like when buterfree was set free. (bit embaressing now😊 ) Most of these shows people are nominating are made for children anyway (digimon, beyblade yuugioh, dragonball), its natural that teenagers and adults wouldn't think too much of them.

Anyway, I nominate a show called dangaioh, although there are a few laughs at how bad it is. It seems to have been re-released in the UK on DVD for some reason though.

I just watched the first episode of Ayashi no Ceres, did i watch a different anime to you? I mean, there was no crying/wailing in it really...Just looked like another typical cute highschool girl finds out she's got magical powers or somthing type anime. Or does the wailing come later?

Worst anime ever must be Tenbatsu! Angel Rabbie. It is only a one episode OVA and probably no one here has seen it (I don't recommend seeing it). I only watched it for curiosity and because of the equally questionable song by UNDER17 that was made for this short piece of animation :p

First, the animation is horrible, very, very low budget stuff and second, the plot is so stupid/insane and involves cliched stuff about mahou shoujo / angel henshin and saving the world and such nonsense. I knew it was going to be subpar, but watching the thing really made me wonder why was such a piece produced at all. If I can remember correctly in the end there was even small ad for a novel which the anime was based on! Who would write such crap!?

But no, I'm not mad about it at all because I wasn't expecting anything and my curiosity was satisfied (?!). Getting mad happens when you have high expectations and seemingly everyone else watching the anime likes it. I have one recent example of that, Shakugan no Shana (for those not familiar, refer to animenfo.com or other anime sites).

After the first episode I had high hopes for the series. The fantasy setting seemed mysterious and had, in my mind, huge potential. But then as I progressed further with the series I noticed I wasn't really enjoying it at all.

Stuff happens, baddies come and go and just about everything about the fantasy world seemed unrelated. There was no coherency! The baddies and other minor characters were somewhat interesting, but after an ep or two they just disapper as fast as they came in the first place. You don't really get to know much about them and how they relate to the grand main plot that was obviously building slowly below the surface (yeah right!). All this stuff made the series seem very shallow. Chapter about Shana's past was interesting though.

Of course the series was mostly occupied by the love story. I don't usually mind cheesy love stories, but so often they make me want to kill the characters involved. Also, it didn't feel like I was watching honest characters/personalities, but rather something a little forced (tough Shana vs. Shana in love), something that makes me think "Aha, so the writer wanted to make this kind of personality quirks". Ok, that wasn't very clear, but what I mean I wasn't immersed in the series, it didn't seem "real".

I watched the whole series (for I have time to spend) because I was hoping everything would build into something coherent, but it never happened.

Animation and music wise it was a pretty good piece though. Fighting scenes were very bland. Btw, is it just me or is it common to have elevated amounts of fanservice in the final episodes in anime series? Shakugan no Shana had and it was very unnecessary at places. I don't think showing Shana's panties multiple times during the bland final fight scene was necessary! :p 😊

My vote goes to Ayashi no Ceres too!!! I just don't like the storyline...kinda like a Mary Sue made into anime....*don't kill me, Ayashi no Ceres fans out there, i just state my opinion^^"*...

I haven't seen that many anime but two that I do not like at all are Paranoia Agent and FLCL. I could never sit through a full episode for them.

I'm in full agreeance regarding Paranoia Agent. I tried very hard to like it, but after two volumes, I was completely lost, and it had gotten boring to boot, so I gave it up. Ugh! What a waste of time that was!

has to be sailormoon (man i even hate the manga)
dragon ball z, i did'nt finish it nor did i bother watching that others (but i like the manga)
Shi bing wei
chobits (cute but i hate the overall story, cant say i like it just because of chi)
and theres many more but i just cant seem to remember the names.

I, personally have found that SD gundam shocked me to the core. How could something this bad be labeled as Gundam!?!?!? So I go with SD as worst anime as well.

I see that there are a few of you who dislike Paranoia Agent, personally, I liked it. Although I can understand why one might find it boring.

Don't kill me for this, but what I saw of Full Metal Panic actually seemed like crap to me. Unoriginal characters, and those who weren't unoriginal were down right stupid.
And I have to say Fruits basket was annoing, simply because it seemed to keep promising a more interesting plot all the time. It was like "somewhere close by there's something really interesting going on, but we're not going there just yet".
And I hate the main character, it's so typical how they put some completely uninteresting character just to follow a story.
Anyway, I just saw the first season, it might just pick itself up.
Oh, and BeyBlade, can that even be considered an anime? It's not, is it?

Digimon was a good series but maybe only for a short a while but I loved watching digimon. I watched all four seasons, and I really liked chobits but the most hated anime for me was pokemon I mean it got tiring with Team rocket popping up everywhere, and brock should just get a woman at least once geez... they need new team rocket members and james should die for his gayness lol! well I don't think any anime is bad it appeals to some people and others don't like it...

They say the all-time worst trainwreck animation job (not plot, voice or music) would be:

- Lost Universe episode 4 (the "coconut crab" one) (1998)
- Gundress (theater release) (1999)
- Campus City VaraNoir OAV (2002)

Fundamental flaw in budget, resource and schedule.

My vote goes to Urotsukodoji (think I spelt that right). After watching legend of the overfiend i couldn't bring myself to watch legend of the demon womb as it just seemed so pointless. I know some animes can be a bit pervy but this really goes too far.

Aww, you all don't like pokemon...and yugioh... and beyblade :( and even dragonball X_x;

Well, there is a long time I watched those animes and I rememeber I loved them all :D I dunno what I would think if I watched them today, lol.

Well, I've always liked all the animes I watched... except Hamtaro, not that I hate it o_Ox;; I just watched some episodes and stopped, it was... hmm... boring to me, hehe

My worst was Get Backers

That anime was the WORST it was all about this guy and how he can manipulate the mind etc etc.

VERY BORING
Almost died from boredom
and also Full Metal Alchemist (many will disagree but i didn't like it)

Magical Twilight

The worst anime ever (that I have seen) has got to be one titled
"Magical Twilight"

Back in the day (before DVDs & PS2) when I had much more monies to spend on anime I would sometimes choose a random one. I chose this one.
It turns out this was basically anime porn. What I would later learn was called hentai. One witch in order to become a full fledged witch had to befriend a human. She needed help from another witch who cheated on her exam. It was about 30 minutes long so it obviously didn't have much
of a story. Gee. Who'd a thunk it?

Although I've not seen the entire thing, I've been under the impression that
Urosukidoji has more of a plot than anime like this one.

i hate
Pokemon
Hamtaro
Digimon(no the first season was good :) and after that was
Bayblade
Dragon Ball (all of them)
Megaman
Yu Gi Oh
Ranma
and sometimes i fell asleep when i watch Detective Conan. but some series are very interesting :p.
and i hate Winx Club too.
and much more.
