NHK's cancellation of `Sesame Street' leaves fans in dismay

When I was in elemetary school, I loved "Sesame Street" (or Plaza Sesamo if you speak Spanish). Now in Japan, a lot of fans of Sesame Street there will be in a full-blown panic...

When word spread late last month that public broadcaster NHK would pull the plug on "Sesame Street" after more than 30 years, loyal fans were shocked.

Perhaps they can license Boohbah instead. Then they won't have to worry about language and licensing issues. They'll only need to get some liability insurance to counter brain-damage claims.

PIN PON! You got it. Same person who created teletubbies. Guess they figured the marketing/merchandising of teletubbies wasn't doing too well and it was time for another brain dead creation.

Check out your local PBS schedule if you want to see it for real. But I wouldn't expose your kids to it. It's clearly meant to be enjoyed while under the influence of heavy narcotics.
