十時の気温を毎日はかる

10 oclock
temperature
every day

How would I make a correct sentence out of the above translation and what does "karu" mean.

Thanks

It's "hakaru", not "karu" (did you perhaps mistake は for the topic particle?)

"hakaru" means "measure".

That should probably help you figure out the sentence.

Oh, I just noticed that mistake. hakaru, = measure
Thanks

So, something like this: I measure the temperature at 10 everyday.
Is that correct.

Yes. The subject "I" isn't explicitly stated, so you have to gauge that from context.

Also, this is a very nitpicky, minor detail, but the fact that it's 10時*の*気温 gives it a nuance of "I measure the 10-o'clock temperature every day." (毎日10時に気温をはかる would be the equivalent of the English "I measure the temperature *at* 10 o'clock every day.")

But yes, in terms of general meaning, your interpretation is fine.

Thank you very much. And taking the time to explain well.
