Alright so I'm new to this website and was wondering if I could get some help. I just purchased this flag and I don't have much knowledge on it.. I think the two center characters stand for "loyalty and bravery?" I was just wondering if anyone could help me out with this, thanks!

Yes, it's Chūyū "loyalty and bravery", but that flag would be a fake since signatures seem to be written by the same person. (Also, kaō in the red circle is poorly made.)

What struck me as strange , my flag from 1972 is much more faded and it has not been in the sun. Also , the tears look awfully fresh and jagged like they were just torn.

Some of it looks like it was done with magic markers....

Just curious what do the stamps mean on the left side of the flag?

They mean "Boy! This ought to make this forgery look authentic!"
What I meant by that is I've seen those stamps on a couple of flags. Even if this particular one is a fake I still would like to know.

Post a close-up of them. I can barely see them at all.
