Mystery Nihongo Forum Charset Trouble

As mentioned before the Nihongo Forum is now displaying in Western European encoding by default instead of shift-JIS.

Now for most posters (e.g. those using Windows) they can still enter and read Japanese text (if it's been entered in Western European encoding itself). However as you can see here users of MacOS get a series of ?????? instead of Japanese when entering text and if they manually select Japanese (Shift-JIS) then everybody else sees a bunch of gibberish unless they manually select Japanese (Shift-JIS).

As WakaP is one of those affected, and one of the more useful posters in that forum, I urge that this matter be dealt with on a high priority basis.

P.S. Everybody go and vote rep for WakaP now - he should have twice the balls I do

I don't think I ever knew it to forget. I know ASL though.

Can we ask admins to alter the default charset to Shif-JIS, at least in Learning Japanese forums?

If you choose language setting for other than English, you have a problem of garbled letters. Just to let you know. I hope you don't mind fixing it, admins, if you have a time.
