Orlando Magic
I have been supporting this team for 8 years, since the first day I've been watching basketball,
lost to Utah Jazz today, they were leading until the mid 4th quarter, and lost by 2 points
10 games losing streak

The Magic's only other double-digit slide was a franchise-record 17-game streak from December 4, 1991-January 7, 1992

rumor:
Magic is preparing to replace coach Doc Rivers

this is a very frustrating time for the team .......

the No.1 player Tracy McGrady,
played poorly during the first few games,
and then he said,he almost wanted to retire from basketball because he was thinking 'i have to do so much for the team for another 4 years?'
he was mentally drained,
he was depressed,he talked to some college coaches and Grant Hill and those guys helped him to stand up again.

he is back in shape during the recent few games,he had a 51 points game, but the team still loses

Magic is preparing to replace coach Doc Rivers

player Drew Gooden defending for the coach:

"I hate it when teams are struggling. You don't look at what's going on, on the court; you look behind the scenes for an excuse," Gooden was quoted as saying in the Sentinel. "There's no way in this world this is all on Doc Rivers. We're all out there playing. He's doing the best job he possibly can. Doc Rivers should be our coach this season, next season, the season after that and the season after that."

I think he is right, when the team plays poorly,
not only the coach is responsible for that,
but also the whole team,
it is not the time to point fingers and say who's fault is it,
it is time to get together and fight to win,
this is what a 'team' is about

I like the Magic, always have. I can even remember when Shaq played for them and they immediately drafted Chris Webber his rookie year (but subsequently traded him). Imagine what kind of offensive firepower those two would have generated had they stayed on the same team...

They have a decent core now, just seems like for whatever reasons they can't break out of this slump. McGrady's been playing well (51 points against Denver? Oy vey...) but the team really needs to focus here on out and just play one game at a time especially now that Doc is out (which I thought was a little premature imho). Only time will tell if they can get it together as a team and prevail in time to make the playoffs.

I remember when Shaq played for the Magic. I went to see him play the Washington Bullets back in Winter of '93. Wow, good seats I had, too. Got his picture and everything...anyway...

That's the extent of my knowledge on this subject. Just thought I'd throw that in... :p

Penny is my favourite all the time

I live in florida....

orlando to be specific and everybody is mad and upset how the magic are getting that tale spanked!

I had heard a rumor about i think shaq....comeing back.....have to lookin to that. or somebody.....Chriss webber with shaq though would have been something to see....

!:D !

Yeah, too bad nobody can score on a consistent basis other than T-Mac.

But I guess this will improve his game in the long run. Every great player that attracts too much attention will get the "zone" treatment sooner or later. Just throwin out some examples: Vince Carter last year, TMac this year, Ronald Murray the last 2 games... I guess in the long run, TMac will be able to learn how to penetrate the zone, take advantage of it, and create more opportunites for his teammates...
(not to mention Orlando should pull some trades to add a 2nd scoring punch to the team)

well Shaq left Orlando for Hollywood

he said one of the reasons why he signed with the Lakers,
is Hollywood,so he could make movies and music there

when Magic lost to the Rockets in the 1995 Finals
Shaq said he would not leave the Magic until he leads the team to win a championship, but one year after that,he forgot what he said and signed with the Lakers.
