I think I have matured a little faster than other Chinese kids

I am 18

but when some Chinese people look at me or my photos,
they think I am a person over 20

then when I was wearing a black Nike hat (picture below,but mine is black)
one of my white female white friend said I looked like a young boy..
and then my other white guy friend said I looked like 16...

so I wonder if it has to do with the hat,or my race??

lol people just have different perceptions. im told i look young alot, while it kinda sucks i have an ID to prove it and when im older ill still look younger than my age.

I'm 21 and i still get asked for 16 yr old ID to buy cigs...

It's pretty difficult to guess Chinese/Japanese/Korean (etc..) people's ages, i get it wrong all the time.

I'm 26 and people card me for cigarettes (18) and beer (21) all the time. Then they look at me in astonishment when they see how old I actually am. So I guess that's a good thing.

I will be 18 soon, but I look much older, when I go out with my sister who has 25, people think I am her boyfriend!

lmao that's funny becuase i never got carded for alcohol there or aus.
only time i got carded over there was when i went to go see resident evil, the guy wanted to make sure both me and my girlfriend were over 15, and even then i couldnt help laughing and asking the guy if a driver's lisence would suffice.

My husband is 35 and he still gets carded for alcohol and cigarettes. I get carded sometimes too. The only time I don't get carded is usually when the kids are with me. I guess they assume I'm over 21 if I have the kids with me. But this is the south...

LMAO!!! That's awesome. I always get the young girls asking me how old I am, like I'm around 16 or 17 or something. :? Then I tell them and they usually say "oh, alright" and walk away. Heh, well, whatever.

When i'm talking to work colleagues or teachers i don't speak a lot, always listening with a smile(remember it's important go smile)
