Unpublished Mishima letters to be released
A number of previously unpublished letters by writer Yukio Mishima to his mentor between his teenage years and his death at the age of 45 in 1970 will be published in January, it was learned Saturday. About 60 letters were addressed to the late Fumio Shimizu, who taught Mishima Japanese literature at the then elite Middle School of Gakushuin in Tokyo.
