Hi.

I was wondering whether anyone knows if the government will support students applying for Masters courses at Keio University. I'm slightly concerned, as the tuition fee for Keio is a little above 1.1 million Yen, and with the recession and all, I just want to have a little heads up. I have recently received a confirmation of my acceptance for the scholarship from the Japanese Embassy, but am still waiting for a final confirmation of my university placement. Any comments or advice appreciated.

If you are awarded MEXT scholarship, I think you don't have to worry about anything related to the tuition fee because MEXT will pay all the tuition fee for you whatever the University you will attend. My friend is studying with MEXT scholarship at Waseda, a private University which I think have tuition fee as high as Keio.

Yup. I'm going to Keio U as a Master's student under MEXT right now, and I have two other friends doing it as well. I doubt it'll be a problem. :)
