Customer and Community Specialist - Japanese

Space Ape Games are looking for a fluent Japanese speaker, to work remotely, helping us with our smash hit mobile game titles.

We are looking for a new agent to become part of the Customer and Community Support team and more specifically the Japanese team. Unlike other languages, Japanese has its own country manager, therefore you will work closely with them on more specific instructions and localisation assignments. You will work across our existing portfolio of mobile titles including, Samurai Siege, Rival Kingdoms, Transformers: Earth Wars and Fastlane: Road to Revenge

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Customer Service and Localisation agent into a varied and exciting role. This role is working in the Customer Service and Loc team and will cover responsibilities such as localisation, answering customer support queries and translating content for our newsletters and inside the game.

As part of the Space Ape Customer and Community Support (CCS) team you will be the face of Space Ape to our players. Our community (and our company) is fun, passionate, demanding, and a little sassy and we want someone who embodies these characteristics.


  • Work with the localisation manager to translate and release content to our Japanese speaking players
  • Localise content for newsletters and in game newsfeed
  • Help support customer service, answering player tickets, issues and requests
  • Japanese native language or native-level speaker of Japanese
  • Some level of experience translating/localising creative contents from English to Japanese in a professional environment
  • Mid to high level written and spoken proficiency in English
  • Ability to work on weekends and western winter holidays
  • Great team player

This position will be done remotely working from your location and not the London office.

This is a contract with potential to go permanent.
