Hi. I am transitioning form beginner to the intermediate level and need a text book to go with it. I am still not solid with the Kanji, Hiragana, or Katanaka, so I'd prefer a textbook that is not heavily relied on those.
Question, what DO you want to learn? Words? Small sentence? Because the Japanese school we have uses MINA NO NIHONGO (Japanese for everyone) as lesson books, you get to learn how to use the katakana and hirgana straight away. but if it is more like words and small sentances I could advise a few thin how to speak japanese books I have here.
Well. I am learning the hiragana pretty well on my own and the katakana I will soon do the same. I need more of a grammar, syntax, vobac type book. I am just about intermediate level but somethings(concepts) I have a lot of trouble with. For example: koto ga arimasen means I never.... I have trouble with stuff like that. But if the book is too general it won't benefit me because I am past a lot of that.
