Went and seen it today, 1 complaint it is SOOOOOOOOOO drawn out in parts... Like parts that should have taken 5 seconds took 20 minutes. It was incredibly long, I went for 9:50, and didnt leave til 12:20. Anyways it is very good, I reccomend it.. Call me dumb but I did not realize BILL was the guy from the TV series Kung Fu. LOL when I saw him it took me a minute to realize... :D Also Quentin Tarentino is making a new movie, its previews were before KILL BILL it looked AWESOME, it is called "Hero".. It was a Japanese warrior style movie. :) cant wait!

he didnt make that movie..hes just bringing it over to hollywood...i would say north maerica but it was already in some film festivals last summer

You obviously haven't seen very many Indian movies, or you would not have thought this film to be all that long. Indian films are so long that they usually need to have intermissions. ☝

Tarantino isn't making jacksquat. Hero is Zhang Yimou's most recent masterpiece (he's a Chinese filmmaker). The movie stars Zhang Ziyi, Donnie Yen, and Jet Li, and is a semi-fictional dramatization of the unification of imperial China by the Qin. Like Iron Monkey, Tarantino is only slapping his name onto it, and probably having some dubbing (sure to be rotten, as usual. I hope he uses subtitles instead) done for the film. In probably the worst case of cinematic travesty ever, Hero was given to the master butcher of Hong kong film. Yes, that's the abomination known as Miramax, which has already done its share of damage to great films like Shaolin Soccer. Well, at least I can be glad that Hero will eventually be given a proper release, thanks to the Tarantino name (but none of his actual contributions otherwise). Hopefully they won't "modify" (read: mutilate) it too much.

I think you may have guessed by now that Hero has absolutely nothing to do with Japan. :p

:D :(

I prefer this volume 2 rather than the 1st one. The music is less "here", but still, I just love the end, and David Carradine is just Great!!!

I've grown with Hong Kong movies since I was really young and couldn't read subtitles. When I see these attempts by Hollywood (my friends think the same as well and they've also grown with H.K. movies), one word always comes to my mind - lame. I'm sorry. It all comes down how much exposure you've had to these types of movies. The more various types of martial arts movies you see, the higher your standards rise.

I can't think of not one decent kung fu movie by Hollywood...well, Kill Bill is the most decent but far from great. You may say that Vol.1 is Japanese swordsmanship and that has nothing to do with H.K. movies, think again because H.K. have done it before (anyone seen Jet Li in Fong Sai Yuk 2?). Kill Bill is just for show, I guess to impress the western audience (and eastern to some extent).

I'm strictly talking about the fighting. The story/plot/script/dialogue e.t.c. is another matter.

Kill Bill 1 is the worst film I have ever seen, the worst.

Let s face it, It just free violence for hungry eyes.
It so ridiculous and absurd it turn AMerican, Japanese, French cultures into derision. To my view, that's just a pointless load of crap.
I just can understant the satisfaction of this film, explain me.

Without any doubt, Kill Bill 1 is the worst film I have ever seen, the worst.

Let's face it, It just free violence for hungry eyes.
It so ridiculous and absurd. It is a big moquery of American, Japanese, French cultures. To my view, that's just a pointless load of crap. How can Quentin Tarrentino could deserve that success? He stoled me when i watch this film, foxy guy! And the story line, let me laugh!!! It doesn't deserve any comment.
I just can understand the satisfaction you get from this film, explain me. Does anybody feel the same as me? what a crazy world...

Kill Bill 1 is the worst film I have ever seen, the worst.

Let's face it, It just free and crude violence for hungry eyes who need hatred fix.
It so ridiculous and absurd. It is a big moquery of Japanese culture. I am sure Japanese would be very proud of kind of hommage to their samurai film. To my view, that's just a pointless load of crap.

I try to find the edit button apparently it is disabled.

In Kill Bill 2, I cracked up when I saw a white woman going through all those training hardships like Jackie Chan in "Drunken Fists."

Uma Thruman (hee hee, Canadienne) kicks *** in this movie.

Yes, there are many familiar scenes for the Chinese audience. It's like old wine in a new bottle. But overall, Kill Bill 2 is still very entertaining for the Kung Fu fans. So far all of my Canadian friends who had seen it are loving it!

I saw the first kill bill, and I thought it was great fun. Can't wait to see the second one, it looks just as fun.

I loved the first one. The second one was alright. There wasn't as much action and it was slow at times. I guess I was just expecting more.

I simply hate Quentin Tarantino's pretentious, oh-so-"stylish", pseudo-"deep", violence-laden crap and something tells me Kill Bill is no exception. I wouldn't watch either "volume" even if someone let me for free. Am I the only Quentin Tarantino hater out there? :/

I hadn't really seen a QuentinTarantio movie before, xpet some parts of Jackie Brown, but I didnt know who he was anyways. I had seen sm parts of pulp fiction, but didnt like it. Anyawys I just went to see the movie for fun, cuz it looked interesting and I think it was pretty good and fun overall. Maybe u should give it a try; forget is Tarantino :p
