I just happened to have a really long annoying day, and thought I'd list annoying things about Japan. I love Japan, but some things just drive me nuts here. Add to the list! Or complain about where ever you live. Just get it all out, you'll feel better!

Things about Japan that drive me nuts:

1. The trains in downtown Osaka that stop running at midnight.
2. The ATM machines that are only open 9-5, and closed on holidays.
3. The kids who stare at me in McDonalds.
4. I know Japan is a cash based society, but the 2 supermarket in my town don't take credit cards. what!!??? Why is it so hard to use credit cards here?
5. Most Japanese houses aren't insulated, let alone have any form of central heating. I'm freezing my royale arse off right now.
6. The drunk company guys who piss everywhere and grope women.

and the list goes on and on........

Things I love about Japan:

1. Can coffee.
2. 100 yen sushi stores
3. Centos, Onsens. (Bathhouses/hot springs)
4. That I could make this list many, many pages long.

What do you love and hate?

thing i hate:
1.being too poor to vist japan, $900 is kinda steep.

thing i like:
1.The Girls!!!(need i say more?)
2.the music.
3.i dont know, ill have to find out when i get there.

I like this post.

I just have one thing to complain about. My gf. Getting really irritated and running out of patience with her basket-cases of baggage she continues to lug around.

From what I can tell, thats a pretty decent deal. Thats how much I pay when I go.

I think it's strange how cheaper fights FROM Japan are. I paid 700 bucks for a round trip home to Chicago over Christmas.

What I LOVE::
1) some of the girls
2) black beach
3) miami
4) the beaches
5) universal
6) some of the nightlife


WHAT I HATE:
1) old people driving
2) driving in general
3) all types of driving in florida. there just tooo slow
4) the weather!
5) theres almost nothing to do unless you make it fun. Somethings just get remedial.
6)...well thats about it too, i think of something else
7)) oo oo the cops! i could tell you someting about fort lauderdale!!

WOW!! I wish i could find a flight to japan for that much. Thats ﾂ｣487.... I've only seen ones that are like ﾂ｣700 - ﾂ｣800 ($1293) ..where are you looking to get $900??

i checked orbitz for the default dates, as i really didnt care to change them. but los angeles to tokyo = $556, new york to tokyo = $665. for places in between the prices are in between those two.

orbitz doesnt do europe though so i checked expedia and found one from london to tokyo for ﾂ｣397 ($710)

Things that annoy me in Japan

- how most people that own large dogs keep them tied up on short chains, except for a 10 minute walk if they're lucky. Maybe better than my hometown where dogs roam the street biting people, but still cruel.

-how no one uses child car seats. Even saw a man DRIVING with a very young baby on his knee.

-Pollution. Here in the countryside we don't have air pollution, but litter and sea pollution is still bad

Things I love about Japan

-food, food food!
- scenery
- Friends and family that are here
- Shopping!
- onsens
etc etc etc

The Things I hate about the states :

1)How our country seems to be like the baby sitter of the world...
2)Having a president who chokes on a pretzel, and during a campaign for education, he has the book upside down..
3)obese people who sue major fast food chains because of their weight.

The things I love :

1)How we all take everything for granted and not be beaten with a stick..
2)Children aren't forced to do any kind of labor..
3)The ability to chose how well your future goes (you decide to do well in school, not your teachers, no matter how bad or stupid they tend to be)

Although I think our president is fine.. he just seems to have those Kodak moments..

I'll check that site out!!! ... I was just thinking that maybe the prices from the U.S. to japan might be cheaper cus you go left out of america and the next place you hit is pretty much japan (a bit simplistic I know ) and from the U.K. you have to travel all the way over europe and asia... so i guess that why it might cost more. Maybe if I'd used me thinker. haha...

1) That some countries starve and others thrive
2) That not every child gets the same education..if any education at all.
3) How some Countries are bigger and better but wouldn't help a less technological country.
4) How we all have to work to survive
5) How everything seems like a never ending circle. Ex.work, fun sleep, work,fun, sleep, work
6) How were locked with responsiblity! [some is good some is bad]
7) How were not free to relax on a beach without regard to whether the power and lights are goign to get turned off or if your going to have enough money to eat next week....
8) How as a world were divided yet we should be togeather..like star trek!
-U can tell i'm free spirit/souled man...-

::Things I LOVE::
1) The weekend with no work
2) Ability to unwind with alcohol though your not 21
3) Ability to buy what you want within your means..and sometimes not..
4) technology [cars, tv., ps2, internet]
5) cheesecake! lasgna!! Vanilla Coke-cola!!
6) anime, manga, hentai!!!
7) Ability to learn and do almost whatever you want...

-People referring to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day as 'Milk'

I'm pleased with:
-Casual sex
-Of age drinking
-Etheral music
-Getting my hair done today
-School only lasting for 5 months this semester

Things that annoy me in Japan continued:

- how soft porn, gruesome horror and childrens movies are together on the same new release shelf at the video rental store.

- TV news shock tactics. I hate how they zoom in on the blood on the door or road after a fatal ccident on local tv. Not only is it disturbing but also I think disrespectful for the family who could be watching.

- Pet shops. Kittens squashed together in small cages, birds pulling their feathers out out of boredom, monkeys continually pacing their cages going crazy in such a small space. These places make me cry

- shows with monkeys performing while leashed to their owner.

Things I love

- anman
- anpan
- kajiki manju
- kotatsu
- Kikusui sake

-My boring hometown
-hearing things like "c'mon baby, I gotta get my munch on"
-my little sis farting and hi-fiving my mom after like its the greatest thing in the world
-not being able to visit Japan
-being single
-snobby girls
-snobby guys
-the teletubbies
-jehova witnesses
-being called "yo" I got a name you know >P
-Henry Kim and when he calls me "yo"
*announces on mic* Did I mention Henry Kim? Yes, he's a former hottie to me who goes to my college, *the butthead* he promised to email me. But did he? Noooooo, he promised me e-cards, emails, hey where's my presents!!!! So he totally screwed me over *not in the literal sense* xD and I thought he was such a nice guy....>_<;;; But I officially retire as his stalker!

ok so maybe they speak fluent Japanese and have lived here for 10 years or more but hey, we are all newbies at one time.

Even though I'm not in Japan, I can really understand where you're coming from, nzueda. There are a lot of them that are know-it-alls. That's one reason I stopped posting on the MIJ list. I think some of them talk down to people too much...

Oooh, a venting thread!

Okay, I have some of Ohio....(Just moved here from Cali.... *regret, regret, regret!*)

1) It's cold!!!! It was ten degress below zero to-daye!!!
2) No one uderstands me!! (I said someone was trippin' earlier....they all looked at me as if I was a crazy! )
3) THERE IS NO CULTURE!!! (I found like ONE japanese restaurant....)
4) It snows. It snows. It snows. And that's all it does. And then in the summer you have HUMIDITY!!! (I can take heat...just not the sticky icky humidity!!)
5) They don't cancel school even though the ground is basically frozen, it has snowed two feet and is still snowing, and is ten below zero!! :auch:
6) Everyone drives too slow......:auch:

Good Points:

Ummm....
1)Good school system.
2)They have fireplaces in the houses!
3) The snow is nice to look at.
4) No earthquakes....
5) They are bringing more stores and stuff out here. (Can you believe they don't have a jack-in-the-box?? No. Jack. In-the-box. *dies*)
6) The people are actually nice here.... And there is no road rage!
