Hi, I've applied to study abroad in Japan and hopefully will be accepted! If so, I will be there for 2 semesters starting in Fall and am just wondering about my chances in getting the Jasso Scholarship. The thing is, I will only have 2 courses worth of grades to show them ( B and A with good attendance ) but I'm hoping the fact that I'm studying in the Pacific and Asian studies department at my home institution will increase my chances in getting it because studying in Japan would be very important for my studies. How much does what your going there for and interest level factor into their decision if anyone knows? Can anyone shed some light on this?
Thanks in advance for any help!
