Hi,
I finished rtk, am going to continue with part 2 and have no knowledge of Grammar or Vocabulary. I am shooting for JLPT N1. If my Questions got answered in another thread, please post the link.
  • Kanji
    • Already learned all from the 6th edition of "Remebering the Kanji", I just started with the readings.
  • Vocabulary
    • I really don't have any knowledge, any Ideas where can I get the 500 to 1000 most useful Vocables so I have a good bases from which I can build up by reading, watching and playing Games, Books, Anime and Manga?
    • I found a bunch of lists with Vocabulary for every JLPT level on the Internet, but they are probably not good for learning since they are in an alphabetical order.
  • Grammar
    • Also no knowledge
    • "Tae Kim's Guide to Learning Japanese" (to which JLPT level does it reach? Haven't seen it on the page.)
    • If Tae Kim's guide doesn't reach to N1 with what should I continue?

Have you considered learning from a proper professionally prepared textbook? The Genki series is widely used.
