I am currently involved in creating a Japanese garden of about 3/4 acre at my home. So far it has taken me some 8 years and I still have so much to do before I will be satisfied.
I have been guided by traditional Japanese styles, with necessary modifications to suit my plant availability, poor soil, etc., and sometimes just my own preferences and ideas
Many modern Japanese designers are moving away from what is generally thought of as the traditional Japanese Garden
What are your ideas on this deviation from traditional styles?

Very lovely!

Sam, I'm impressed. It is indeed very beautiful! I'm still looking at your site.

Will you come over and fix one for me?! ;) I have been wanting a koi pond, but haven't gotten around to doing so yet. Hopefully, this Spring.
