Hi everyone-- can someone help me translate this commercial?

I think I got the first line--something about Jane being a home stay student--but after that the actors were talking too fast for me to understand.

Thanks in advance and sorry for the bother-- I've already spent quite some time trying to translate this myself!

Put down what you have so far, even if you're sure it's wrong. Then let's work through it together.

So I think the first line is about Jane being a home stay student. And then the mother says something like かれちゃった? Which I think translates to something like "Had he?" But I know かれ can also mean "boyfriend". Then I hear かのじょ which I know can mean "girlfriend" or "she". And then it gets harder for me to hear-- I can pick up しろい and something like はわまこしわている, which I don't know how to translate at all. I know the ている probably indicates the "ing" form of a verb.

Then after the English I hear あれちゃった which might translate to "Got it"? And then わたしも, which I know means "me too." Then I kind of lose the dialogue again--it sounds like he says something like あついなつりなるそうだ, and I know the なる usually refers to something becoming something else.

Then I hear けんかんしたい at the end, which might have to do with wanting to fight?

Thank for your help, and I apologize that my attempts are so pathetic! I am a beginner.

かれちゃった = 枯れちゃった. "It (the plant she's carrying) withered"

はわまこ -> パワーマック (Power Mac)
I'm not 100% sure either, but I think this sentence is かのじょ の しろい ゆび が パワーマック を さわって (触って) いる。

あれちゃった -> われちゃった. "It (the vase) broke"
わたしも -> ことしも

You almost had the next part completely right: (ことし も) あつい なつ に なりそう だ.

The last part is the easiest since the text that's being said is also on screen.
人生と、関係したい (じんせい と、かんけい したい)。アップル パワーマック

Thank you so much! I really appreciate all the help. A few more quick questions.

Is the translation of the Power Mac part something like: "Her white finger (or hand) is using the Power Mac" ?

Then the next part is something like "It seems like this year it will also become a hot summer"?

And the last part is: "I would like that relationship (or a relationship like that) in my life"?

Yes - literally, "her white fingers are touching the Power Mac".

Your translation for the hot summer sentence is also correct. I'm guessing he doesn't mean the weather though, what with this girl with exotic white fingers in the house.

"人生と関係したい" is just a general catchphrase used in Apple advertisements at the time - it's not related to what happens in this particular ad. Not sure what a good translation would be though. "I want to connect (my computer) with (my) life"? This page gives broader context to the slogan - it essentially implies that Apple computers are more than just boring machines for automating business processes.

The subject of 関係したい is Power Mac; Power Mac wants to connect with your life.
