TOKYO (AP) -- Japan's economy mustered growth of 0.5 percent in the final three months of 2002, but the numbers released Friday were outweighed by continued worries the nation's fragile recovery could fade into another recession.
The gross domestic product -- the value of a nation's goods and services -- showed the fourth consecutive quarter of growth, according to the report from the Cabinet Office. The 0.5 percent expansion translated to an annual growth rate of 2 percent.
