As usual Japan does and says nothing even their allies ..Germany made a statement! Koizumi probably visited the Yasukuni shrine (on the same day) as his heartfelt international response.

Any comments??

Compleatly out of order. They should make a statement of some kind. They dont have to apologize or anything but a few words like.

"Our hearts go out to all those that died" would be something at least.

However is this definate that he did not or will not say anthing?
My gf is Japanese and she is really disapointed at him and this news if he did indeed say nothing. So i do not think this represents Japan as a whole.

However my gf has spent the last 4 years in England with English people that feel very strongly towards the war so maybe this is the case.

....... 😌
It is also the year of the commemoration in 100 from the victory of the Russo-Japanese War.

Prime Minister Koizumi has to do worship to Yasukuni Jinja.
