I was asking around to see if anyone knew of a Japanese version of Kelly Blue Book to assess the value of a used car I am interested in buying..also to look up the VIN number to see if the car has been in any accidents. No one has yet let me know of any such thing in Japan so I wanted to ask your opinion about the car. Here*s the specs: Its a Yr7 (95) Mazda Eunos Presso ...1500cc, has 49000km and is 2WD (front-wheel)...it looks perfectly fine and sounded fine when i started it..haven*t test drove it yet..it doesn*t have shaken on it now but the guy said he*d give it to me including shaken for 35man...I know its not the bests of deals but do you think it is worth buying at this price?

Hmm... I am not really familiar with the pricing for a good Eunos Presso but here are some links to draw comparisons from that may or may not be of help to you:

('93, 1800cc)

('96, 1500cc)

Check out this message group too btw as someone there may be able to give you a more accurate idea if it's a good deal or not.

"The Mazda MX-3 Mailing List welcome all owners of the Mazda MX-3's, Autozam AZ-3's and Eunos Presso and 30-X to share technical information, maintenance issues and any related stories that other owners of the Mazda MX-3 will be interested in."

I would try for 30man/27man just on principle. Its low km, but is it seven years old, is not going to hold its value (in Japan at least) where older cars (10 to 15 years) really only become worth their weight in scrap after shaken runs out. Unless, of course, it has a lot of extras (CD player, convertable, modified in some way). Good luck.
