Imported games!!

How many people here import video games? (particularly from Japan) If you do import games, which ones do you have? Which ones are your favorites?

I have:
Shin Seiki Evangelion 2
Dance Dance Revolution Extreme
Beatmania IIDX 7th Style

I love all three of these games, especially Beatmania IIDX!!

So you and I are the only ones... At least that's how it seems. Surprising though... On an English forum about Japan there are only two people who import games from Japan? Odd... Anyways, which one are you going to get next?

As for me, I'm flat broke. Eventually I hope to get the Shaman King Funbari Spirits, DDR Party Mix, and the Dream Mix TV World Fighters... after I save up for a long time. I've got to pay off my new Japanese Sony Vaio TR5B first... stupid lack of money...

Hmm. I dunno what I want next. Maybe Shin Megam Tensei 3: Nocturne Maniax, or when Gran Turismo 4 comes out, but it might be out in America first.

Yeah, Gran Turismo 4 will probably be out in America first. Its original release date for America was like July 1, but it was delayed. However if you go to www.jp.playstation.com then it only gives a general release date. (04年秋予定).

There's also Xenosaga Ep. 2 (released) and Metal Gear Solid 3 (not-yet-released)...

It's a really cool RPG. I really like the battle system. Episode I is out in America. Check it out some time.

It is, but I'm not sure how, exactly... Never played Xenogears... (I didn't get into RPG's at all untill FFX)

Lol well i remember I was really lil when my bro got me into RPGs. First was FF7. You have to play that! It's so much fun, or maybe not but I just think so cuz I basically grew up on that. It's my fav FF.

A lot of people say that FFX wasn't all that good. I enjoyed it, and I really liked the graphics. I have over 100 hours logged in on FFX... I thoroughly played it out.

One problem with playing FF7 though... for some reason, when I modded my PS2 to play Japanese games, it stopped playing PS1 games... quite odd, annoying, and unfortunate. I wish I just bought a Japanese PS2...

i wanted to import a game but i guess i waz to stuppied to.I didn't know what game though i waz thinking of importing Final FantasyCC and can I ask you guys a question?Its kinda of the topic but,do you guys know who the devil lady is off this you would help me alot thanx.(I have no clue what it is either)

BINGO! J-Games can't be played on U.S. Systems. This has to do with the the encoding of the games, and which encodings the system can read. Same idea as the regional encoding on DVDs. As for where to get them, me and Kuro have listed a few places and short reviews in this post:

Would i have to buy some japanese systems? How long does it usually take to get here? I like any games really but i am looking for a game called N.U.D.E.@ for the XBOX i have all three systems american so i guess i will have to get them Japanese now lol.

Well, you can get japanese, or you can mod your american system. Also, they can take any length of time really. I recieved 1 of my import packages in 2 days, and another in 6 weeks. Have fun.
