I'm having some issues with IME on my computer at work. My computer runs XP Pro and I have IME installed w/ a standard QWERTY keyboard. Prior to XP I had Windows NT4 and had no issues with IME, but now when I try to input in Kana, the letters come out wrong. For example, if I type 'e' I get the hiragana for 'ni', if I type a I get 'ku'. Very frustrating, obviously!

I've done quite a bit of searching to try and sort this out but I can't find an answer. Can anyone help?

Hit the language selector, and click on "show language bar." From there, look at the far right of the language bar for the small "kana" button. If it's highlighted, then you'll be typing like you're on a Japanese keyboard. Click on it to unhighlight it, and you'll have romaji input.
