Hi, I've been using minna no nihongo intermediate level 1, and I have just finished it a couple of days ago, but I found out that I don't like the format of the minna no nihongo intermediate volume 2 at all, so I've decided to use another books. I found this Shin Kanzen master to be very good, but I have a question.

I've seen that there are 3 parts in this book. Part one consists on 12 lessons, and at the end there are A to J exercises. Then there is part 2, with exercises about sentence structure, and then there is part 3, with exercises about sentences.

My question is: Do I have to finish all 12 lessons before doing the rest of the book? or do I have to follow another order? It's the first time I'm using this book and the next week I'm going to start studying on my own, so I really want to be sure of what I'm doing xD

I've been having a hard time from the past year until the last week, and I couldn't study enough to pass the N3 this year... I don't know many kanji and I will have to work a lot to achieve this... Now I have a lot of free time and I have decided to achieve some goals by the end of the next year.

Goal 1: Pass the Kanken level 6 (Right now my level is about kanken level 8. I have the intention to learn kanji with some books named 漢字学習ステップ. I bought the books for the levels 8,7,6 and I plan to have them all learned by the end of 2017)

Goal 2: Pass the Noken N3

I'm using Shin kanzen master for grammar, and then for listening comprehension and reading comprehension I will be using Sou matome books, and again, for kanji, I'll be using 漢字学習ステップ.

So I have this little question about shin kanzen master that I hope someone can help me solve so that I can start studying as soon as possible.

Thanks

Welcome to the forum.

Have you read the intro to the book or read the lessons to see if they say anything about the order? The number of lessons is 12 while A through J is only 10, so it doesn't seem as though each lesson has a single lettered section connected to it.

Hi, what you say makes sense. I've been reading about how do other people follow this book and they all seem to do just the lessons. So I think I will do part 1 then 2 and 3, I will be well prepared the next year. Thank you for your answer.

Shin Kanzen is HARD. IMO it's better to get through the 2 Minna no Nihongo Intermediate books before touching those material, especially the grammar ones.
