No offense, but if you are indeed serious about learning Japanese then you might want to take a more proper grammatical approach with your English first...
:)

@Iron Chef: my thought exactly *g*

@Ewok85: Could you recommend any such site?

I've just registered with japan-guide.com, but if anyone has made some good experiences with this or another site, I'd be happy about the help!

Yes, I would wholeheartedly have to agree, Iron Chef :D . Honestly, before you can study any foreign language, you have have a very good understanding of the English language. Otherwise everything will be lost to you... That's why you have to have a good grade in English in school to be considered for a foreign language class. :sorry:

There's always school. If your school doesn't offer Japanese class, then look at the bulletin boards of your local Japanese supermarket or just ask around your area. Learning Japanese on the internet is like learning how to drive over the phone.

its been my experience people type the way they talk not the way they write...
and for some reason i always had better grades in my german class than my english class. *shrug*

There's also of course the issue of who is available in what location. This is a huge country after all and it could mean a several hour drive both ways, not everyone has a car, money, time, etc. Of course in person is better than online but most people probably aren't all that serious about becoming Japanese devotees, hard as it may be for the rest of the world to understand :p.

Hehe it's the same with me. I had better grades in both Spanish and English than in Swedish (mother tongue).

Edited: spelling.

I just wanted you to know that the idea with a Japanese penfried was a great one! I have indeed found one, already, and we get along very well! 😄

Doumo! 🙂

I suggest one by word or mouth or by looking on the internet for some around your area. Or you could find a penpal... I actually found mine off of a service off this site. She is awesome and really helps me a lot.

And any questions you have, lots of knowledgable speakers post here and they should answer your question greatly.
