Yo kid! You've already asked something rather similar to this and I've already answered. :emoji_blush:

What are you actually trying to do and how?

I-t-k,

Given Paul's depth of experience and knowledge of Japanese, I'd be inclined to follow the instructions he's already given you. Still, no matter which of his categories you're in, I see no reason why you couldn't use David Hallgren's site:

davidhallgren.se/nihon/?StartWith=jsKanaEditor.asp

His Kana Editor has a Kanji look-up feature (which I gather is linked to a large database away from his site) so you can write whatever you want. For Katakana, I've so far had to copy and paste characters from the list in his "Katakana Recognition Test," but there may be an easier way. (I've used Katakana so little that I've thusfar had little reason for concern.)

If you have advanced knowledge of Japanese and Kanji, I suppose that the Kana Editor may be a little slow...but it's perfect for me! And I don't see myself needing anything else for a long time. David, who has been studying Japanese for only about 6 months, has done a fantastic job on this site, IMHO. 🙂:

Regards,

Dan
