I'm writing to ask this question because I am a bit confused by how Japanese expresses "why" and "if."

How to say "Why do you study English?"

My guess is: なぜ英語を勉強しますか?

Also, "What goals do you have?"

My guess is: どの目的がありますか?

I would really appreciate it if you could let me know. Thank you!

How to say "Why do you study English?"

My guess is: なぜ英語を勉強しますか?
It's not wrong, but なぜ英語を勉強するのですか? is more common and natural.

Also, "What goals do you have?"

My guess is: どの目的がありますか?
どんな目標がありますか? / 目標はなんですか?

目的 is more likely for asking the reason why you study.
