My friend has tried like a million times seriously of making an avatar for me. Is there any way to make one for yourself?

if you want an avatar its pretty simple... you have to find a pic (google search?) and resize it and make it the right amount of pixels for it to work... then you upload it in the edit options page under the User CP thing... is that what yeh wanted to know? If yeh need help resizing an image tell me and I'll resize it for yeh ^_^

If you are refering to making an avatar to be used on this forum, it has to be either 64 X 64 pixels or 10000kb (whichever is smaller) though.. Any pictures you like will do. ^__~

Just crop or resize it with an image editing software and there you go.. your very own avatar.. make sure that the height and width dun exceed 64 pixel though (at least not for this forum) After you are done, you can either choose to upload to your own site and provide the image link in your UserCP or alternatively you can just upload it on to the japan forum site. (*^__~*)

I use Photoshop to crop and edit my images and Flash for animated gifs but there are many other nice editing softwares around which you can use.. ( I'm just too lazy to learn how to use others.. ~~;;n )

another thing to make sure of is when you resize a big picture make sure that it has 16 million colors and smart size selected if its available on whatever program you use. otherwise it could wind up looking not so good.

Now, if you wanna draw your own then I would advise using Pixia.

Pixia is a free drawing program that, this is the great part, does layers! The layers are a little confusing but there are links to several websites that do explain them very well. The program also has a smooth resize picture option. If you are drawing your own, make a picture that is 64x64 pixels then just zoom in. when you've finished just zoom out back to the original size and there you go. You don't even have to use layers to make a kick a** avatar! :)

Didn't know there's such a freeware around.. Or rather am too lazy to ever try finding out (~~|||b).. Seems like one cool software out there.. ^^ Will definitely try it out~ That's if I can get my lazybones to work and stop procrastinating. (sweat)

Hopefully it will be an easier software to use than photoshop and illustrator.. Personally find them not very user friendly without the "drawing pad" thingy (Oh, what they call that, the palette thing with a pen connected to computers so pple can draw with the pen.. sigh.. am too braindead after sleeping away the whole afternoon to try to think now.. @@||b )

ummm on the note of avatars i was wondering when u actually upload it do u have to upload it to a site or can u upload from your comp???

Just curious.. A question to people who use this program before, is it just a problem with my pc or does it happen frequently with the pixia program?? I tried it out and it's wonderful~!! (Those who have yet to should give it a try.. ^_~ ) ..but the program have the tendency to hang halfway through even though the only programs I had on my pc is my email client and browser..

Just download your favourite anime/manga pics, open photoshop and edit them to the right size/resolution and put it into the net!!
Simple!!!😊
Ne?🙂

Pixia is much easier than photoshop and illistrator. :D

Also, what's your problem with tablets? I use one and I'll never go back to drawing with a mouse again. Once you get use to using it, it is quite easy and your computer art greatly improves!😄
