Hi friends,

I am bit confused about this HIRAGANA and KANA? Are they same or different? Please explain me and help me in this.

All your aunts are females, but not all females are your aunts.

All hiragana are kana, but not all kana are hiragana.

In a broad sense, there are four types of kana. In a narrow sense, there are two. Hiragana is one of those two.

If you're counting furigana and okurigana, you're needlessly complicating the matter.

Furigana and okurigana are not types of kana. The other two that I was referring to are man'yougana and sougana. Still, a beginner should not concern theirself with such things.
