If I want to confirm something with someone, let say that "something" is a package and I would like to confirm if he/she have sent that package to a certain location. How would I say it in Japanese?

Edit: Highlighted the word "confirm" since I am wondering if there is any equivalent word or phrase being used in Japanese...

What is the relation between you and that person? Do you want to say it casually or politely?

I think it would be necessary to say politely?

Though, I have heard it will also become awkward if too much polite terms are used?

It totally depends on the relation between the speaker/writer and the addressee, as I wrote previously. So, what is yours?

Thanks for the help.

Let say the relationship is buyer and seller, and the package is to be sent from Japan to Canada for example.

確認したいのですが、商品はカナダに発送済みでしょうか?
Kakunin shitai no desu ga, shōhin wa KANADA ni hassō-zumi de shō ka?
