Can anyone help me in translate/improve some parts of this. Thanks a bunch! I need to use formal words.

Beautiful Shoes and Festivals. That's probably what you would think when you hear Marikina. Marikina in the 1887 started making shoes,gradually Marikina became Famous because of the beautiful shoes made in Marikina. Today, Marikina is known as the Shoe Capital of the Philippines. It is also known that Marikina is one of the cleanest town in the Philippines .

There are famous festivals in Marikina too. The Ka-angkan festival is celebrated on April 15. This festival shows the importance of kinship. It is celebrated by dancing in the streets performed by different kins.

Next is Rehiyon-rehiyon festival which is celebrated on December 9. It is a very lively festival. The theme of this festival is "Different Regions, different attitudes, United in Marikina". It is also celebrated by dancing in the streets with native costumes representing their region.

The last will be the Christmas Festival. It starts on the second week of December. On the side of the river, there will be stalls that sells different kind of things like toys, clothes, delicious foods and so on with affordable prices. This celebration marks the start of the Christmas season. By the end of the month, there will be a fireworks display. Many people from other places gather to watch and enjoy themselves with their family as they watch the 3-5 mins. Fireworks display.

"What" is not an interrogative "nani", but a relative pronoun "mono" there.

Today, Marikina is known as the Shoe Capital of the Philippines.
Kyou, Marikina ha Philippine no Shuto no kutsu desu.
Today as "these days/now" is "konnichi". "Kyou" only refers to "today" as the day between yesterday and tomorrow.
"Shuto no kutsu" means "capital's shoe(s)", "shoe(s) in/of capital". You need to change the order of the words.

It is also known that Marikina is one of the cleanest town in the Philippines .
