Hello Forummers,,

I am planning a visit to Kyoto & Tokyo sometime in Aug/Sept 2019. Any suggestions of things to do/visits?

The last time I was at Tokyo Disneyland with my children in 2003. This time will be travelling on my own.

Thanks.

Hi @Adrian7878, welcome to the forum!

I have been living here for over 15 years and haven't been to Tokyo Disneyland yet. :)

What in particular are you interested in?

Also how long are you planning on visiting? If it's only for a few days the suggestions might be different than if you're planning to visit for at least a few weeks. Everyone probably has a lot of suggestions, we don't want to overwhelm you though as you might not be able to choose if we give you too many options. Also like Thomas asked. What are you interested in? That will help give you relevant suggestions.

Recommended food for summer in Japan is "素麺 (Soumen) " , "冷やしうどん (Hiyashi Udon) Cold udon"
I like "冷やし中華 (Hiyashi Cyuka) cold Chinese food.".
The summer of Kyoto is "鱧料理 (Hamo Ryouri) Sea Eel cuisine"..
This fish can be eaten in Kyoto and West Japan.

The most delicious river fish in summer is the "鮎 (Ayu) "
As these fish are produced only in the clear stream, it tastes fruity.
