Personally, it reminded me a bit of both "Laundry" and "GO". In Laundry, Yosuke Kubozuka plays mentally handicapped Teru who's always nice and sweet (though not as dumb and ever-grinning as our hero in this movie). Teru has no goals in life except returning a forgotten shirt to one of his coin laundry customers. In GO, Kubozuka plays Japan-born Korean Sugihara, who also has no goals but does meet quite a strange girl. In this movie, Hayato Ichihara plays both the happy mental, and the Korean boy who got a crush on a weird girl and the end is quite vague.

What's shocking is the indifference of the characters in this movie toward each-other. Did their friend just got shot? Oh, nevermind. Is their friend currently being arrested after an attempted bank robbery? So what. Is there a dead body behind me in my car? Cool.

Synopsis
It's about young Hidenori Kaneshiro, a Korean boy who lives in Tokyo. Due to historical circumstances, the Japanese and the Koreans don't seem to be best friends, I'm not very educated on the subject. Anyways, as a child, Hidenori has been bullied due to his nationality. His tough mom and sister told him to laugh it off instead of crying so Hidenori now laughs at each and every human interaction (although he vomits everytime he received even slight physical abuse). He even laughed when he paid a last visit to his older sister who had just been found dead, suicide.
So what does Hidenori, who has nothing else to do - except shoplifting and laughing stupidly - do now? He and his new friend Yumiko - who had just confessed her hatred to him - sneak into the morgue and kidnap his dead sisters body. They go on a ride with Taro and his car, all the way to Hakata where there is a ferry which is supposed to take dead Nanako back to Korea. However, they run out of money. Japanese youngsters are inventive and shake-downs or oyajigari (literally "uncle hunt", mugging older men) are indeed an option. But in order to get 2 million yen, one has to do more than point a knife at some passer-by. Even stupid Hidenori knows that...

Cast:
Hayato Ichihara (Ju-on) as Hidenori Kaneshiro
Mika Nakashima (Nana) as Yumiko
Hiroyuki Ikeuchi (GTO) as Taro-chan
Shin Yazawa (IWGP) as dead sister Nanako

Director:
Su-yeon Gu

Unfortunately, it doesn't come with subtitles so I didn't understant everything but there were a few funny and memorable quotes:

Kaneshiro
"I like bad people. I hate people who pretend to be good. Good people? Dunno, haven't met them!"

Yumiko
"Kaneshiro, your sister's pussy is decomposing." (I think)

Taro-chan
"It's over. I don't wanna see you again. Ever!" (he said that very, very happily to Kaneshiro)

Also, Yumiko loves kicking men in the back after a date.

Search for "Worst by Chance" which is the English title if you want a sub.
