I'm Japanese-American, born in Osaka and raised in the Mid-West in America (Michigan and Minnesota.) I'm a year short of 50 and will finish my 3 year apprenticeship with a National Living Treasure here in Mashiko at the end of the month. After that, I'll be working in my own workshop.
