They're just soo much good anime out there, there are LOTS of prime examples of good anime in my opinion, i've seen a BUNCH of anime, not as much as some, but quite a lot. Although theres such a great amount of good work out there, it's really hard for me, and im sure many others to find a good series. I know everyone has their own likes and dislikes, but i'm having great difficulty finding a new series everytime I get done with another, its starting to become something that eats a way half a week of searching through animenfo.com to find a series that I might happen to come to like, does anyone have this problem or is this just me? I mean recently I seen pictures of Full Metal Alchemist, and I thought the anime is nothing to care about, but I watched episode 1 because I was extremely bored, and I now happen to LOVE the series.. how do you guys find your anime?

i hang around in bars.. JUST LIKE MY DEAR PA-PA!!.. j/k..

i hang around in the chat-channels of subber groups.. works like a charm..

(on a sidenote.. best anime eeeeever is Azumanga Daioh... just needs to be noted in this thread)

DUDE I FEEL YOU BROTHER! I love Azumanga Daioh, I mean omg, Ayumu, aka Osaka just reminds me a animated, female version of myself! Ahahahahaha! Azumanga Daioh forever!

btw : do you know if ADV Films DVD's have japanese? it seems they're dubbed, but I only watch anime in its full, japanese glory.

Not really, I haven't watched a lot of anime series. So there's still a bunch left. I try not to over load though, I only watch 2 episodes of 1 anime a day ( sometimes I may go a weeks of not watching). To make it last and not rush into it.

I usually just hear through the grapevine what shows are good. You can't go wrong with a good comedic anime ;)

WERD!

dunno, hate the dubbed but i needs the subbing to be able to understand >_<

i have all the eps on my puter, that way they're all in jap =D
advfilm.. is that some sort of american videostore? >_< im a swede so i dunno about that stuff...

i have to find an all japanese DVD on ebay with azumanga.. that way i can watch my favourite show to promote my jappernees! 👍

hahaha i see you like my gif animation, oh boy, ADV films is an american company based in texas, who dub anime into english, although that just butchers it... :D

ill explain my sig ; in that episode, i think they take a test, for getting out high school, and Osaka (the taller one, osaka is her nick name, her real name is Ayumu kasuga) kicks her shoe as a form of "fortune telling" well she does it .. and well you see hahaa, then they wonder if it landed right side up :p

I found alot through Cartoon Network. Sadly, Cartoon Network cencored the hell out of them. Some good ones were Outlaw Star and Gundam Wing. Later on Yu Yu Hakusho and Rurouni Kenshin. To me a good anime is one with a mature plot (not like pokemon), good action, and good story and character development. I mostly just read manga now, or buy subtitled DVDs.

i'm the same way... Trigun and Yu YU Hakusho used to be what I always watched.... but now everything is cencored, and mangais just easier...

However... i do like rave master that comes on...

Recomendations from friends is usually best for me.
Also, different friends prefer diferent types of anime, so...
Thats how I found out about Shura no Toki, Soukyuu no Fafner or Samurai Champloo.
But with no direct source of anime its kinda hard waiting for new anime episodes to be brought by good friends.

Friends rule! :)
