Hey, guys, it seems you all have an interest in Japan (like myself), and I was just wondering what you thought of that ghettocities site (i tried to offer josh some constructive criticism but got barred from his site)? Calling Japanese women "*******" ?and writing articles on how to "hustle" them? No wonder gaijin have a bad image in Japan. Japanese people are one of the friendliest groups of people I have encountered, and I can't believe this guy devotes all his energy to robbing them and giving nothing back in return??? doesn't anyone else think that this behaviour is disgusting? It reminds me of imperial American history(or any other imperial history), he has no respect for Japanese culture and merely goes there to "rape and pillage". When his forum was up and running, I tried to express these opinions, but I was banned as previously stated. He also has a bunch of losers who adore and encourage this type of behaviour. Come on guys stop being poor excuses for men, break the mould!!!! Josh, I know you come to this site, so I hope you too will write an (educated) reply to this thread. I actually heard about his site from another Japanese board where they were saying "この毛唐殺したくない?" now i dont know if you guys knows what 毛唐means buts its not a good word!!!もう一度言っとこう。。。。。。日本の事を 利用してんじゃねーよ!

He seems to get excited very quickly!

Best not to agitate him, he lives in a different world with his own rules!

To each their own...
But, if you're offended by his site, then it's probably best to avoid it...remember, Japan has it's good and bad sides to it...you have the caring folks on one side and the underground folks that are into all sorts of less than wholesome things. It is best to avoid folks that you don't care for if possible since they do what they do because there is always a segment of the population that is willing to go for such things. Like Frank says, avoid him if you're uncomfortable with his views...agitating him only will work against you...

I said this on another post, if you don't like his site, then don't visit it. I'm pretty neutral, but I don't like it when people start complaining about what he does on his site. Josh commented on this site and got banned (Quite deservedly I might add), But he served his term and came back and said he learned his lesson. I think he deserves to be given a second chance. If he acts responsibly, he shouldn't be hounded as he has been in the last few days. Complaining like people have been only serving to harden people attitudes. I think if I took the abuse he did, I would be rude to people as well.

I think your comments about his moral stature is somewhat misjudged as well. If anything, Josh's lifestyle "breaks the mould" more than most people. If anything Josh lives in counter-culture, that isn't like what most people live in. And yes it calls girls "*******" (have you never listen to a rap video?) That's probably why girls like to be around him, because he seems like a badass, compared to most guys in Japan.

Also, your whole moral argument is off base as well. These girls really want to have sex with him (the same night they met him), and he gets them to pay for the hotel room is a feeble moral argument on your part you ask me. In a way, I think its like Japanese businessmen who go into strip bars and pay money to talk to the girls, except that in Josh's case, the girls are trying to keep Josh here around them so they can look cool. Maybe it is Josh who is getting played. Will any of them marry josh? Doubt it. Really he is just paid sex when it comes down to it.

Dear ghettocities... I don't like your page but that's my opinion and no one cares^^ but despite you are kinda selfish and you really love yourself, don't you... and that's what I don't like...
Well...who cares

Thanx everyone for the replies!
I'm not really complaining about him, I just wanted to know if other people out there interested in japan feel the same way as him or not (and don't worry I won't visit his site anymore)?
Oh yeah noyhauser when I said "break the mould", I meant to break the chauvinistic gender role that your society/media( yes that includes rap music! ever listened to Warsawpack?) has imposed on you. When I was in Japan, I only met one other dude that was actually there for a reason other than women and/or money. he (josh)is far from a counter-culture or an alternative, he is exactly like 99% of the male gaijin population (in Japan). He contributes to the stereotype with his deeds x100 .女の子の事を尊敬せんとイカン! 以上!
stay true

I'm sorry Himura and in all honesty, I'm much like you so don't ignore the babies with webbed-feet in this hospital of a world.

Also, don't you think is says a little something about these girls that are falling for Josh? You can't just go around blaming him 100 percent. If they're so naive to fall for it...well, that's just the way the cookie's going to crumble, I guess...

I agree with everyone here that has said we're not the ones to be judging him--well, as long as he maintains his good behavior here on the forum, and he's doing a good enough job so far...

This behavior is but the norm and does not seem all that weird compared to most American Youth.

I thought it was going to be something more profound, like learning how to read, finish high school, getting off welfare, stop making excuses for their problems and blaming others, and learning something about other countries....but I guess that's asking for too weird of behavior.... :D

I'm a crowd-pleaser, this crowd (forum,) isn't pleased and that leaves me with something to work on. Thanks.

Josh

How about growing up and not getting shot in Compton?

Oh yeah... most people don't live in Compton (or some run-down crime-infested Ghetto for that matter) Its like that line in Swingers...
Sue; "You don't know what it's like out here to live in LA."
Mikey "You live in Anaheim."

But seriously, now. Nathan, let's be full and frank. You did come here, and you did complain about him and his site. When you say that you think he "rapes a Pillages" in japan, that's a pretty strong statement. Even if you are trying to ask a question... it's about the most loaded question I have ever read...

"Do you think Josh is the most despicable man you know because he uses women to pay for hotels, calls them "b*this" and all he talks about is hustling them (hint he's evil... trust me)? " Man reading your first statement it's like you want to start a global uprising versus Josh. Its sounds like you think he is the next Al Qaeda, except that he will destroy the world's moral fibre.

Secondly, saying 99% of the Male gaijin population as chauvinist is about the most untrue thing I have ever heard. I know many guys in Japan (and yours indeed), and most of them are pretty stand up people. Most people go to Japan to experience another culture while working in another country. The JET/NOVA etc... programs are an excellent opportunity to do so. And if anything, the Gaijin population probably represents the most enlightened percentage of the Japanese people for women's attitudes. How long has it taken for the Japanese FDA to pass Birth Control pills for general consumption? (has it even gave yet?) and compared that to how fast they passed viagra's application. Western people, on the whole, have far more enlightened views on marriage than the Japanese. (Gay marriage anyone?)

Oh, the skateboarding/rap/punk culture is definitely based on breaking the mould. They are all based upon breaking away from existing Cultural expectations and redefining them. Much of rap is based upon getting out of the socio-economic conditions that pervade America and either becoming rich or creating a whole new order where blacks have real equal opportunity with whites. You only have to listen to Tupac to know that.

(edited for changing the name Sue... like the Johnny Cash song)

Alrighty, noyhauser I said thanx buddy!! Look obviously we are on different wavelengths, and I will have to respect that. When I was in Japan (as already stated), the vast majority of gaijin I met said "yeah I came to hear for the money and/or women", and I'm sure everyone's experiences were/are different, but that's mine. When I heard about josh's site (as mentioned at the start of this thread), it was because Japanese people were saying pretty heavy sh*t about him (can anyone give me an English translation of keto? its an old school word from around ww2 but I'm not sure what it's English equivalent is) so I checked it out(his site)and.......I also almost puked; I felt embarrassed to be a gaijin that has an interest in japan... it's hard to explain I didn't want to be associated with the stuff he does(must have something to do with being a sk8er too?). SO I came here to ask (communicate(the purpose of this board?)with)) you guys (as previously stated) on what you thought and you have given me excellent answers, so let's not waste any more time on it.

ps. "I think that saying 99% of the Male gaijin population as chauvanist" i didnt actually write that , could you please read my post again.
skateboarding/punk/ and hip hop WERE counter cultures but these days only a handful of true sk8ers/punks/rappers remain due to corporations buying/sponsoring everything they could get their 'extreme' hands on and selling the (sk8er/punk/rapper) IMAGE back to you in shopping malls or chain stores for a profit.
