Nami Tamaki, BLOOD, and Monkey to perform at GakuFest 2004 in San Jose, CA.


GakuFest, in association with FanimeCon, Anime Resource Group and Farrell Communications, is proud to present Nami Tamaki to the Bay Area for her Northern California debut performance at GakuFest 2004, along with the return of BLOOD and Monkey!

GakuFest is an international music festival committed to bringing together both overseas and local artists, from all backgrounds and musical genres, to the San Francisco Bay Area audience. Due to popular demand, the people behind GakuFest are striving to bring more Japanese artists to our audience this year! GakuFest 2004 will be held at the historic San Jose Civic Auditorium on Sunday, May 30, 2004. The San Jose Civic Auditorium is located at 145 West San Carlos St. (between Market and Almaden streets), San Jose, CA 95113.

GakuFest is proud to present recording artist Nami Tamaki.

As a child, Nami has always dreamed of becoming a signer, and never failed to grasp the attention of the people in the Kansai area with her extraordinary singing power, sense of rhythm, and looks. With her mature demeanor, it is hard to believe that she is only 15. With her huge hit 窶廝elieve窶? the 3rd opening theme song for the popular animated series Gundam Seed, her talent has skyrocketed the charts all over.

Nami Tamaki is making her Northern California performance debut at GakuFest 2004, and attending FanimeCon 2004 as a Guest of Honor. Let窶冱 be sure to give her a true Northern California welcome!

BLOOD returns to Gakufest in 2004.

BLOOD is a unique Japanese Goth/Indies band whose members hail from Osaka, Japan. Its members KIWAMU, KAEDE and FU~KI display great chemistry in their captivating and haunting melodies, brilliant musical compositions, and touching vocal renditions that truly set them apart from all other visual kei bands. Recognized by several J-rock websites, radio show and magazines, BLOOD has captivated audiences across Japan and overseas.

Debuting last year in North America at GakuFest 2003, their international fame has exploded and since spread all over North America, Korea and France, managing to do in just one year what would take others several to accomplish.

Monkey returns to Gakufest in 2004.

Monkey is a high-energy Latin/Ska dance band straight from the San Francisco Bay Area. Since 1996, Monkey has appeared on over 20 international releases, performed over 1,000 shows and toured across America several times. Their intense live shows and rock steady beats always gets the crowd going!

So get out of your chairs and start dancing!
