Ok, I saw a program on these girls the other day called "Gaea Girls".. if you get a chance to watch it, do so.
the Gaea girls site can be found here.
At first, I thought the fights were fake and rigged, but as the show goes on you become quite aware that that is not the case at all...
you get to follow the Gaea girls training but in particular, we get to see how one girl in particular fights to get the honour of becoming a professional for Gaea.
HITOMI HAYASHI
we get to see her debut fight in January 2004 (yeah, the beginning of this year) and after seeing this picture she has grown 5 years in those 7 months... she looked much timider and young back then.. in this picture she is one of the brutes that are the Gaea girls professionals.
Since the show sort of focused around her debut, I got a soft spot for her, and once I get to Japan I will (providing she still lives >_<) go root for her someday ^^
I'll let it be known I was never and never will be a wrestling America fan.. and I started watching this show very sceptically (the chicks look like guys too >_<)
but in this particular case, i am a convert.
seeing her get a double fly kick to the face, blood running... no flowing down her face and just standing there agreeing with the people yelling at her for not being good enough... and this was in practice by her senpai... Sanoko Kato.
