6. Do you think that funparks reflect the culture of Japan?
7. What do you think is so fascinating about funparks?
8. What do you associate with the word funparks?
9. Do you know any funpark that has especially a lot of advertisment for?
10. Have you met more Japanese or tourists in the funpark?

Ok, I'll bite:

English:

1. Why did you go to Japan?

Mostly to visit my girlfriend at the time and to shop and have fun. I later lived and worked there.

2. Have you visited any funparks? If yes, which one?

Tokyo Disneyland (3 times), Hello Kittyland (call me demented), and a generic funpark (can't remember the name) that had a big maze and a cart race track (came in 1st twice). Is Soapland a funpark? :p :p

3. Why have you visited a funpark and how did you like it?

I wanted to compare Tokyo Disneyland with the one in Anaheim and my girlfriend wanted to go on a date there. Hello Kittyland was my friend's idea of a sick joke. The other park, my friend's were bored and we all decided to just go.

4. how is the funpark accessible? eg car, train, foot... (basically how did you get there and what other forms of transportation could be used)

Trains for all of them since my friends and I don't drive (who can afford it?)

5. What made you become aware of the funpark (ads, relatives or other aspects?)

Disneyland is pretty much known by anybody. Check #3 for the others.

6. Do you think that funparks reflect the culture of Japan?

In Tokyo Disneyland the differences I could spot from the American ones were that the name plates on the workers had their family names instead of their first names and of course, all the voice-overs for the rides were in Japanese (I liked the Japanese version of the Haunted Mansion better). The buildings were also 1/10 smaller (I read that somewhere). Also, the Japanese version closes at 6:00pm 😲 while the American ones stay open until midnight. Oh, and the Matterhorn was missing.

7. What do you think is so fascinating about funparks?

Ummmm... it's a park that's fun? Seriously, as far as Tokyo Disneyland goes, I grew up watching Donald and Mickey and all the movies, so the park makes them all come alive. It makes you young again.

8. What do you associate with the word funparks?

Ummmm.... fun in a park?

9. Do you know any funpark that has especially a lot of advertisment for?

Tokyo Disneyland has a few ads going in TV and magazines. I saw one for Hello Kittyland in some mag also. Tokyo Disneyland is practically a must visit for every junior high and highschool student in Japan. Ya gotta do it. I wanna go to Miyazaki World!

10. were there more Japanese people or tourists at the funpark?

I only saw 7 other foreigners total in my 3 visits to Tokyo Disneyland. Maybe it was because I went off season.

👍 at first I thought, that you are a native german speaker ... but seems you are not, so in that case, I think that you're quite good in using german (^_~)

@Old School

XD I've never heard of Hell(o) Kittyland before *g* Very pinkish, as I assume?

The strangest funpark I've got as an answer so far, was the Kanasai Cycle Sports Center 関西サイクルスポーツセンター
you have to move all the bikes with your own power, also for exemple a roller coaster o_O

Yeah, Sanrioland was very surreal. Lots of pink everywhere. Lots of sparkly stuff. Everything was pastel colored. It was mostly little girls there but we had fun in our own strange way. 😄
