does anyone know anything about Takeshi's castle?

Me and my friend are making a takeshi's castle website, and so I was just wondering if anyone remembers it, and would be able to tell me anything about it.
Also, does anyone know the names of the two rainbow twins, aka "popcorn"?
or anything about the programme at all? I would be really greatful to know anything

All they have here in North America is the lame dub.. but I still watch it and it can be funny at times i suppose.. but no I don't know much about it.. gomen :sorry:

Yeah, it's on Challenge but it's impossible to watch because the voice over by Craig Charles...he is just too annoying!

It was on over here in Germany as well quite some time ago (3-4 years ago or more), but the absolutely horrible voice-over totally ruined it :auch:
I always had the impression that the commentators didn't know the least Japanese and just described what they saw, or just made something up

Geez... either you do a proper dub, or (preferably) you just sub it.

that's interesting... i was under the assumption that only americans forced bad dubbing onto the viewing populace (being that we always think we know what's best for everybody )

yes, the voice overs here are terrible, but I love the programme anyway because it is so funny. if anyone has any information on the original, i would be very greatful to hear it . cheers

I think this is one of the best shows ever!! It's airing now in America on Spike TV and is called, "Most Extreme Elimination Challenge". I actually like the dubs because they're quite clever. It's obvious they made no attempt at translating what was actually said. Besides, they named the two hosts, "Kenny Blankenship" and "Vic Romano".

Well, the German commentators are at least as awful and ridiculous
They also made no attempt at translating what was said.
When it was showed over here, it was still named "Takeshi's Castle".

We get the dub in Canada too... the stunts are fun to watch but the commentary is weak.
