Do you drink diet soda?

You know I have been drinking diet soda for along time now. Think it was better for me.

Odd though I have had a number of problems come up after I started drinking it. Didn't see a link, Tell one day a business partner was talking about how one of our drinks does not have aspartame in it and how normal energy / diet drinks do.

I didn't think much of it tell I got home and looked it up. Did a search on google and bam, all the sites are pointing out links from it to cancer, brain tumors, ulcers, all kinds of stuff, over 98 problems caused bye it that I found.
Over 50 independant studys linking it to various problems.

What I do not understand is why they are not getting their asses sued off or the govt is not doing anything about this?

This stuff is in over 5000 products "I guess that would be a reason why they do not do anything..." They really need to take another look at this.

If you drink or eat anything with aspartame in it I really suggest you look up this stuff. Also equal, nutralite and many other suger alternatives have aspartame in them.

no i dont like the taste of diet soda, pretty nasty stuff to put in your mouth if ya ask me, then again im not a big fan of soda in the first place.
also moved to opinion, not much to do with japan...

Addicted To Regular Pepsi!

Saw in the 50's that Hugh Hefner drank it & I've been hooked on it since. It never did get me women or money like Hef??

Not to take anything away from diet drinks, but according to my health class, diet drinks will actually make your appetite increase, and that they really don't make a difference in your weight. It's better to stick to the non-diet version, beacuase the sugars there will make you not as hungry.

:gulp: :cautious:

Or if you're like me, chug down [bottled] water...

:gulp: 😏

I don't drink them, as they more or less all taste absolutely nothing like the original product. Diet Coke is the worst example of this.

I don't think either is good for you. I've heard that drinking a can of regular soda per day can lead up to 30 pounds per year or something like that.

I drink filtered water and a lot of it. It's okay once you get used to it. Nothing beats a an occasional Coke straight out of the fountain or glass bottle, though. Mmmmm...

Just to go out on a limb, I love the taste of water. In fact, I chug it down as if it were a bottle of beer. On average, I drink about 4-5 bottles per day. I never get tired of chugging down one of Nature's gifts in earnest. In the words of Lance [who rules France by the pants], "That's purifying. That's beneficial."
:gulp: 😌 👍

I have to say that my beverage of choice is definately MGD. Other than that though, you can always find me holding a cup of water. Not that I like the stuff, its just habitual drinking it.

Which a lot of my comrades say explains my figure.

I don't really enjoy soda in the first place, so when I tried diet soda two nights ago, I though it tasted funny, so I stuck to my water. :)

Well, I'd have to say that I don't drink soda that often. But, when I do, I always drink diet. Why? Because if I drink it, it's because I want a soda, but don't want to consume all the calories necessary to have a regular one. So, that's pretty much it, because they are usually calorie free.

Same here :haihai:
I drink water most of the time, and from time to time the regular version of some soda (Coke or Sprite). I can't take too much carbonated beverages anyway, it always makes me belch a lot 😌
Only thing I drink more regularly is sports drinks - Powerade Mountain Blast, actually 👍

Bleh, Pepsi
Perhaps bathing your willy in it would help?
As drinking it isn't the smartest idea, there must be some other use for it...

It's funny seeing people at fast food restaurants eating hamburgers and fries and pizza and hot dogs and then they have a Diet Coke on the side. defeats the purpose...

Yeah, hehe, very dubious attitude...

I don't drink that much soda at all, only when I am out. I prefer water and juice.
However, when I do drink soda, I drink wih sugar....

I drank Pepsi Max for some time... but I thought that it was like Uber Pepsi, with twice the sugar... I did this for years. then my American friend told me and my other buddies that it actually was a diet Pepsi. man, that drove me mad... to think I wasn't getting my daily kilo of sugar from soda's, how did I survive? :D
so yeah, drunk diet soda's I have. :(

Too bad, I think that diet soda will not really keep you in diet so pls take water because it's good, much more cheaper and more refreshing. By the way, our body contains 70 percent of H2O and if you really on a diet, you should drink 8 cup of water...A DAY!!!!

Funny, Pepsi Max which contains no sugar tastes too sweet for me compared to normal coca cola...I don't like Pepsi Max - too sweet for me.

I believe the aspartame thing was more of an internet hoax.

The stuff you _should_ be reading about is Trans Fatty Acids. Go through the food in your house and see how much contains hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated oils; it's pretty scary.

Edit: Just found this, it's pretty crazy.
